Commonwealth Lifespan Services (CLS) is a private provider of Virginia's home and Community Based Services (HCSB) Waivers for persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Our goal is simple: Help people have the lives they want.

Our
Story

The Commonwealth of Virginia began providing Home and Community Based Services (HCSB) in 1991 allowing both Community Services Boards ( CSB) and Private Providers to share the market.

In 2013, DBHDS began a redesign of exiting waivers taking into account what people wanted in their services. This process was guided by the Department of Justice and has helped transform into a system of care that better meets the needs of individuals eligible for waiver services. This system transformation is continuous and ongoing.

CLS began providing services in 2012. Both management and staff have extensive experience in service delivery and are dedicated to providing quality services that will make a real difference to the individuals.
